Overview
The first IDeaS conference hosted outside Edmonton, and the point at which the community adopted a rotating-host model. The theme examined interpretive approaches to algorithmic-mediated organizing within and across organizations at the same time — connecting assemblages, ecosystems, and fields, and the methods needed to move between these levels of analysis.
Methodologically the workshop was about zooming in and out: configurational approaches, institutional infrastructures, logics and issue frames, and field-level change.
The program paired paper development with editorial sessions for two special issues then in progress, at Organization Studies and Information & Organization.
